Dr Cerni has played a key role in launching the careers of numerous school counsellors and psychologists. Many hold senior positions in various industries, such as secondary and tertiary education, health, consulting, and private practice.

As a clinical supervisor registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, Tom provides expert supervision to a range of psychologists. He also provides peer consultation for psychologists and counsellors working across schools, universities, and private practices, helping them to meet their continual professional development requirements.

Tom finds that one of the most rewarding aspects of his private practice is the opportunity to give back to the psychology profession through clinical supervision and peer consultation. He enjoys witnessing the personal and professional growth of those he mentors to be a true highlight of his career.

With his extensive background in education, Tom also specialises in Critical Incident Management within schools. As part of this support, he offers debriefing sessions and ongoing counselling to students, staff, and parents in the aftermath of critical incidents, ensuring the entire school community receives the care, ongoing reliable support and guidance they need.
